Director of Process Improvement

Description: Position will be a Lean System process expert that provides overall leadership and coordination of Joliet Employees Driving Improvement (JEDI) Transformations.
· Position will have leadership responsibilities for coaching and training at all levels of the Harrah’s Joliet property in the Operating, Management, and Cultural Systems.
· Accountable for the deployment process and for working closely with JEDI Leader teams to ensure deliverables are met.
· This position has significant impact on the successful deployment of JEDI which will drive the company’s ability to deliver what customers’ value, eliminate waste and improve productivity.
· Collaborate with JEDI leaders in creation of future state value stream maps and the implementation plan for getting from current state to future state.
· Monitor and facilitate all phases of implementation.
· Lead senior leadership workshops on principles of JEDI, cultural transformation, leadership mindset.
· Develop a team-based learning work environment along with the appropriate structure.
· Identify, recruit and develop JEDI leaders for divisional and site specific roles.
. Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers and employees
· Ability to communicate one-on-one and to groups to explain policies and procedures to persuade others to accept or adopt a specific opinion or action
· Ability to effectively present information and/or a convincing argument to executives

Qualifications: . MBA or equivalent preferred
· Extensive knowledge of Lean System tools (5S, TPM, kanban, value stream management, visual factory, poka-yokes, heijunka, SMED, etc).
· Must be change agent able to work with all levels of employees from hourly workers to senior level management in a matrixed environment.
· Experience delivering, training, coaching and developing employees.
· Experience in applying lean principles and experience throughout the enterprise (transactional experience).
